Sekyiwa is an innovative creative talent based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada. She has had the opportunity to work with some of the most forward-thinking stylists and photographers in the country, collaborating on projects for Z!NK, MONTECRISTONUVO and GQ Magazines. Sekyiwa earned an MBA from the International University of Monaco with a focus on International and Luxury Management which gives her a unique and pragmatic perspective on brand strategy, project/production management, client-agency relationships and trend evolution.  

As a stylist, Sekyiwa has worked on commercial projects for clients ranging from Subaru, CISCO Systems and Dell Computers to Campbell's Soup, Crayola, Mini Cooper and the Vancouver Canucks. 

Sekyiwa has worked as the Costume Designer and Assistant Costume Designer on several feature film projects with award-winning directors and screenwriters Cameron Labine and Nadia Litz, as well as with noted actors Chace CrawfordTyler LabineDree HemingwayJames Le GrosPamela Anderson, Thomas Middleditch and Jess Weixler.  For the better part of 2017, Sekyiwa had the opportunity to work closely with celebrated costume designers Kurt Swanson and Bart Mueller as their head costumes buyer on Deadpool 2 with Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin.  

Taking a page directly  out of her mentors' book, Sekyiwa immediately teamed up with her friend and business partner Brooke Wilcox to design the costumes for the Cannes-bound multi-language feature, TWO/ONE starring Boyd Holbrook and Beau Bridges.  More recently, Sekyiwa and Brooke were tapped to design the costumes for the hotly anticipated teen feature Spontaneous, starring young up-and-coming actors Katherine LangfordCharlie Plummer and Hayley Law.

In April 2018, Sekyiwa was nominated for a Leo Award for 'Best Costume Design Motion Picture' for her work on the thriller Dead Shack, and in May 2018 she was presented with award for her win in the category.

Most recently, Sekyiwa and her design partner, Brooke Wilcox, have been busy designing the costumes for the first two seasons of Disney’s Gabby Duran and the Unsittables.

Sekyiwa is also represented in front of the camera by Lorde Inc. Models and Reel Athletes and has recently stepped in front of the camera for a selection of projects with Dick’s Sporting Goods, Pampers, Kit & Ace, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Inventory Magazine X Nike, Gravity Pope Tailored Goods, the Vancouver Canucks, Garmentory, Dish DU/ER Denim, Mountain Equipment Co-op, Attic Gold Jewellery, Baro Drywear, and Lululemon Athletica.

Creatively, Sekyiwa finds herself inspired and influenced by the works of stylists Melanie WardKarl Templer and Venetia Scott, musicians Dev HynesFela Kuti, William Onyeabor, Charles Bradley and Sharon Jones, and by powerful indigenous and cultural figures George Manuel, Nelson Mandela and Angela Davis.

While her enthusiasm and passion for her work keeps her busy, Sekyiwa's authentic and inventive approach, and her collaborative style has allowed her to pursue her passion for creative direction and costume design.
