My name is Ryan Savella, I was born to Filipino immigrants in Vancouver, 1976.
It must have started when I was young, in high school... i borrowed my dad's camcorder (he used it to shoot my orchestra recitals) by then I was growing up on hip hop and would record breakdancing battles and rap shows my friends and I put on. Passion turned into education at Emily Carr and graduating from Capilano University film studies. Education turned into discipline and I worked on features, commercials, music videos and was mentored by the acclaimed director Bill Morrison as an assistant editor and shooter.
Discipline turned into craft and my path led me to work with brands like Electronic Arts, Aritzia, Lululemon, Miller, UFC, Uber and Netflix. As I continue my journey, I'm grateful to lead a creative life and look forward to new challenges and collaborations.
