Leena Minifie, a Gitxaala and British Digital Strategist, Impact Producer and founder of Stories First, expertly engages niche and BIPOC audiences internationally on projects like Indian Horse, The Grizzlies movie, Idle No More, and ImagineNative.
Awarded the 2019 fellowship, Banff Accelerator for Women in the Business of Media and producer of a 4 part documentary series (British Columbia: A History), Leena uses her degree in Indigenous Governance and New Media to blend digital and grassroots strategies on social change, education and justice initiatives.
This co-founding board member of Native Land Digital and Indigenous Media Reporting fund at Ricochet, Leena helped to decolonize the reporting process and governance structures and policies at Sakewewak Collective.
