A clearer path from promising work to a working industry.
The FILMABLE × Collective Bunch Fellowship connected emerging film talent with mentorship, hands-on learning, professional development and relationships across British Columbia’s screen sector.

screen-industry disciplines explored
fellowship built around tailored mentorship
The idea
Potential deserves more than encouragement.
The fellowship was created around a practical belief: talented creators move further when they can access experienced mentors, working knowledge, professional context and people willing to help shape the next step.
The opportunity
Turn access into career development.
Two streams supported creators at different points in the process. Feature participants focused on strengthening projects and positioning them for financing, while production participants gained exposure to the roles, rhythms and relationships behind the camera.
What we did
Mentorship with work attached.
Fellows took part in workshops, networking opportunities, production training and conversations with working professionals across producing, directing, cinematography, editing, writing and on-set operations.
What happened
The industry became less abstract.
Participants received tailored guidance, tested ideas with experienced people and built a clearer understanding of the pathways, expectations and relationships involved in developing projects and careers.
What comes next
More access. More practice. More doors within reach.
The fellowship model gives Collective Bunch a strong foundation for future mentorship, project-development and paid-experience programs built with public and industry partners.
