Amber Clarke
Board Chair
Amber is thrilled to be a part of the early growth and happenings of Collective Bunch. Growing up in a biracial home she decided as a kid she would use her layered perspective to benefit her future community. In early days she would go on drives with her pastor father listening to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr articulate truths that connected with her soul. She believes in the transformative power of stories; and looks forward to contributing to the Collective Bunch of storytellers, who bring the human experience to life and contemplation.
Looking back, she is proud to share about her great aunt Lillian "Lil" Cumber who lived as a pioneer in the early days of Hollywood. She founded the Lil Cumber Attraction Agency for African American actors in 1956. She was the first African American woman to represent actors in the Motion Picture and Television industry. Looking at present, Amber is proud to be on this journey of reshaping current history together with you.
After living in Los Angeles as a partner with the Dream Center Foundation, Amber came home to Vancouver. She now invests into our community volunteering locally with the City Dream Centre. Her role as the VIP + Sales Manager at the Paradox Hotel Vancouver allows her to merge passion and profession as she collaborates with and welcomes key players in the film industry as guests. As a nod to the Bento Society, she is dedicated to working together with forward thinkers to build a more generous, unified reality for "Future Us”, in the film industry and beyond.”
