Tasheal is a screenwriter and poet who believes creativity fuels true happiness. She is studying her first year of Film Production at UBC and is already eager to take the film industry by storm. She is apart of the #startwith8hollywood community and has teamed up with other passionate writers around Canada to tell moving stories.
Tasheal has received multiple accolades for various short screenplays, including her short script “One in a Million”, which won the Coverage Ink competition, and her short script “Cigarettes” which was runner up for a Launch Pad film contest. She is currently a finalist with Crazy8s, pitching a comedy about the struggles of an interracial couple.
Tasheal first discovered her passion for telling stories when she typed up old manuscripts for her dad (who works in the industry) at the ripe age of 9. Ever since, she has fell in love with the art of visual storytelling.
She believes we are formed by the things that fail us, the things that inspire flight. From thoughts, the oceans move. Our world existed internally before we decided that was no longer good enough.
