I am a well-rounded creative of many interests who has enjoyed working with some amazing people in the visual arts, film, fashion, and design. I hold dual Canadian/American citizenship and am of mixed heritage [African American, Native American (Choctaw), and primarily Scandinavian, ancestry]. My father, a conscientious objector to the Vietnam War (draft dodger) and beautiful, uber-smart mother, made Canada their home in the late 60s and provided the creative, peace-loving environment that continues to shape my life and work. (Early thespian inspiration included my father, who was a bit player and background performer in Vancouver’s burgeoning days of Hollywood North most memorable, in my mind, the sasquatch episodes of MacGuyver, taking me to fittings where I admired the likes of Robin Givens, and popping in on his agents in the then mostly industrial Yaletown).
An actor, artist, curator and published writer, who has written 2 novels, my love of other places, spaces, and artistic happiness has led me on jaunts far and wide, with stays in London, Milan, LA, and my hometown of Vancouver. I hold a MA in Cultural Studies with an emphasis in Contemporary Visual Art and a BA in English with advance graduate work in Creative Writing. An avid yogi, cook, animal lover, and seeker, I love swimming in the ocean, hiking in the woods, and all things held true to one’s heart: art for art’s sake.
