Sean Steven Whyte
Costume and Wardrobe Designer
With 20+ years of experience in fashion and apparel, as well as over five years experience working in film production, Sean Whyte has a wealth of knowledge and time on task styling clients, models and actors for a wide range of projects.
Rooted in the fashion industry, Sean's skillset was first developed as a streetwear entrepreneur, before attending and graduating Vancouver's Visual College of Art & Design with a diploma in Fashion Marketing.
After working for brands such as Oak+Fort, Diesel and Aunts & Uncles in various capacities (i.e - visual merchandising, e-commerce, brand management, and digital marketing), Sean made the choice to focus on personal styling for select clients - this led to his first costume design job.
Within six months of his first film costume gig, Sean was working full-time as a costume buyer on Super Girl Season 2 - nine months later he was a full-member of IATSE 891 film union as a costumer.
After years in film, Sean has built a sizeable resume that includes years of work as a principle costume buyer and Set Costumer for productions such as CW's "Super Girl" and "Arrow", Netflix's "Wu-Assassins" and Amazon Prime's "Reunion: Upload"; Assistant Costume Designer for Lifetime's "Christmas Yule Blog"; as well as styling commercials for Modelo Beer, Mark's Work Warehouse and Frind Winery - this is in addition to owning/operating his own denimwear retail shop in Kelowna, B.C
Sean spends his time between Vancouver and Kelowna, and looks forward to working with solid crews and building with those of like-mind
