Momona Komagata was born to a French mother and Japanese father who met while backpacking through Europe, Africa and Asia. Conceived in India, born in Japan and raised in Canada where her sports-and-studies high school led to a love of gymnastics, Momona has lived in various cities across North America and now resides in what's become known as Hollywood North: Vancouver, Canada. Thanks in part to her parents' discipline, Momona is fluent in English, French and Japanese and is slowly learning Spanish. Because of this international upbringing as a mixed race person, Momona always struggled to answer the never-ending 'Where are you from?' questions. Although the Japanese refer to mixed race humans as 'haafu' - which means 'half' - Momona considers herself BOTH Japanese and Canadian with a sprinkle of French.
Since the age of three, Momona has paved a way to an acting career by participating in a host of circus, ballet, gymnastics, theater, capoeira, and fashion shows, along with modeling gigs that showcase her love of the performing arts. 10 years into considering herself an actor, Momona has worked on over 150 projects including shorts, features, television, web series and commercials as an actor, producer and host. An award nominated actress and having taken part in numerous award winning projects, Momona enjoys combining her love of traveling with her career by attending as many film festivals as possible; a big highlight was attending the Festival de Cannes repping a film she produced and starred in.
