Nightingale
Producer | Director
Nightingale (she/her) is a Canadian Vietnamese filmmaker, performer and mental health advocate whose works focuses on community driven content and highlighting underserved voices. In 2018, she co-founded non-profit organization Bridging the Gap In Motion for youth to make transformative relationships with impoverished nations such as Haiti.
At the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Nightingale created Quarantine Qapsule (QQ), a digital art archive of the Asian Canadian experience during lockdown in British Columbia and Ontario. In 2021 she wrote, directed and produced VICE Asian Canadian mental health docuseries, Breaking Ground - funded by TELUS Fund.
Nightingale strives to continue creating works that empower the underrepresented in front and behind the camera. Finally, Nightingale wants to use storytelling as a form of healing.
