Born and raised in the small town of Whitehorse Yukon, Alex started out filming his friends on snowboards, skateboards, and mountain bikes. He left to pursue a career as a director of photography in Vancouver, British Columbia.
This led him to working with notable clients, (SIGMA Canada, Travel Yukon) musicians (Dear Rouge, Lights, Hotel Mira, Xana), as well as documentaries (SHIFT which won Banff People’s Choice Award, Northlore, and Signal Fires).
