Marie-Rose Monabeka
Director | AD | Casting Director
Marie-Rose Monabeka attends Capilano University and is in the process of receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Motion Picture Arts. She is a director, assistant director, casting director and photographer. In her work, she aims to tell stories that speak to the core of people’s hearts and explore the connections between music, photography and film.
She is Congolese-Canadian born and raised in the Lower-Mainland of BC by Congolese parents. Film and music have both always been passions of hers and because she has a knack for music, she decided to study film and exercise any musical talents of hers on her own personal time. Being raised by Christian parents, she grew to find her faith on her own and always strives to put God first in everything she does.
She hopes to one day work on faith-based projects that incorporate all kinds of film theory and that are relatable to all. As for her musical passion, it is constantly fuelled by the many talented artists around her. Music is the driving force of her creativity and she wants to create music videos that visually give music a new life.
