Hugh Tull is a Canadian-born photographer, living and working primarily in Vancouver and travels to New York. Hugh Tull works as a photographer specializing in Fashion Beaut, and Portrait photography and providing unit stills and gallery photography to the film and TV
industry. Occasionally shooting in New York City, Hughs specialty is making images that have a strong graphic and textural quality. To that end he often searches for symmetry in chaos, while still maintaining the personality and emotion of his subjects. Hugh prides himself on his ability to work unobtrusively on set to capture the heart of a production, as well as making cast and crew feel comfortable with his presence, particularly during sensitive shoots and scenes or when working with young and demanding casts.
Hugh is constantly adopting new visual techniques in the service of his work and he makes a point of collaboration with some of the best creative minds in the industry. Hugh has regularly received praise from client, actors, producers, camera crews, Directors, ADs, and publicists for his ability to get the shots the production needs. During his photography studies at The International Centre of Photography in NYC and film studies at Langara College in Vancouver, Hugh’s focus was primarily focused and solidified to working in Fashion, Beauty, and Portrait Photography industry and he uses this as a basis to draw upon to capture his images, which led him to the film industry and his current clients. Following graduation, Hugh briefly assisted and has been mentored by celebrated and noted photographers Alexi Lubomirski, Melissa Rodwell, and Lindsay Adler.
Current clients include CBS, Hallmark, Front Street Pictures, Atlice, Crown Media, LizBel Agency to name a few. When not running around as a unit stills photographer, Hugh can usually be found shooting fashion, beauty, and portrait photography in a local Vancouver studio or in NYC. Hugh is available for projects in Canada, US, and internationally.
